WW Ark Angel aka Ark in her race kennel but Angel in the adoption kennel because the adoption coordinator said, “She IS an angel!” Brindle, DOB 9/6/21, 60lbs, 20 official races. Angel is currently being fostered as an only dog. From her foster dad: Angel is a great car-rider. She was very comfortable in the truck on the way home and mostly laid down during the ride. When she walked into our house she was very curious – sniffed every corner of our downstairs and looked at every surface. Although we dog-proofed the home before her arrival, she still managed to find things we never thought would interest a dog. However, she responds well to re-direction and learns very quickly.  She is an extremely intelligent dog. She does like to counter-surf and that will take some time to correct. She’s been amazing around people – loves everyone, loves getting petted, and wants to be next to us.  She has no issues with our 9-year-old and has shown zero signs of aggression towards any of us. Both nights, first in her crate and then in a dog bed, she slept through the night without a sound. Initially she went up fine to the 2nd floor but could not come back down, even with treats. I finally had to carry her down. Today, she went up again, and after much coaxing and high value treats she made it back down! So she learns quickly. Hardwood floors don’t seem to be an issue either. No issues with other dogs (although limited interactions.)  On walks, even when other dogs are barking at her, she just acts curious. She’s an excellent leash walker so far, only pulls a bit in the beginning then settles in. Overall, she is a sweet, curious, intelligent dog with a great demeanor.
