Even the most devoted Grey-parents like to go away on human only vacations. GPAD understands that the special personalities and temperaments of Greyhounds makes it difficult to place them in kennel environments and finding a dog sitter who will understand their unique nature and needs is a challenge. In an attempt to address those challenges, we have created a group of fellow Grey-fanatics who are willing to take part in a Grey-sitting exchange. GPAD adopters who are interested in participating in our pet sitting can volunteer to host other adopters’ pups and also find adopters who may be willing to host their dog(s) when needed.

If you think your greyhound(s) would be willing to accept a fellow Grey as a house guest at any point (don’t worry, you don’t have to commit to specific dates), or if you have a trip planned and would like to see if there is a GPAD adopter willing to have your pup(s) as a guest while you are away, please send an email to GPADdogsitter@gmail.com

If you use the dog sitting service for your own Grey, we don’t require you to reciprocate but strongly encourage you to do so if possible. We will do our best to match people who need a sitter with available volunteers but cannot guarantee availability. The earlier we receive your request, the better the chances of finding a match, so make contacting us an early step in your vacation planning process.

Note: Our dog sitting service is only available for GPAD adopters. Though our volunteers agree to watch your greyhound for free, a donation to GPAD is always appreciated.
