Even the most devoted Grey-parents like to go away on human only vacations. GPAD members understand the special personalities and temperaments of Greyhounds makes it difficult to place them in kennel environments and finding a dog sitter who will understand their unique nature and needs of our Greys is a challenge. In an attempt to address those challenges, we have created a group of fellow Grey-fanatics who are willing to take part in a Grey-sitting exchange.

GPAD members who are interested in participating in our pet sitting can register with our Grey Vacation group to host fellow members’ pup/pups and also find members who may be willing to host their own when needed. If you think your pup/pups would be willing to accept a fellow Grey as a house guest at any point (don’t worry, you do not have to commit to specific dates) please complete the attached google form. If you have a trip planned and would like to see if there is a fellow GPAD member willing to have your pup as a guest while you are away, please send an email to GPADsitter@gmail.com

GPAD relies on volunteers to provide this service. We encourage any of our members who think they may be able to take in another Grey for short or long stays to please complete the google form. If you think you may like to use this service for your own Grey, we do not require you to reciprocate but strongly encourage you to do so if at all possible. We will do our best to match people who need a sitter with available volunteers but cannot guarantee availability. The earlier we receive your request, the better the chances of finding a match, so make contacting us an early step in your vacation planning process.

Note: Our dog sitting service is only available for GPAD adopters. Though our volunteers agree to watch your greyhound for free, a donation to GPAD is always appreciated.
