This is what his foster mom has to say after 3 days:
Boomer settled in the house very fast! His belly band was only on overnight. He hasn’t shown us he needs to go outside, but hasn’t had an accident inside at all. He gets along very well with our two female greyhounds. He hasn’t met the cats yet; he has seen them at the top of the stairs and seems unconcerned but hasn’t learned the stairs yet to get close to them. He walks easily on a leash. On walks, he’s very alert to loud sounds like trash trucks, lawn mowers & leaf blowers but our vacuum didn’t bother him in the house and he didn’t react to thunder or lightning.
This boy LOVES toys! We thought just stuffed ones but any kind will do! He takes every toy out every day & plays with it. He hasn’t actually put paws on counters or tables, but has a pretty good “neck reach” though he corrects easily. He knows his name & comes when called with a combination “helicopter & swishy tail”. His only “fault” so far is he’s still a puppy & will “mouth” a corner of our brick fireplace, or think a shoe is a toy he might love to have in his bed. He is extremely food motivated & curious about anything that smells good. He’s a very happy, calm, sweet boy.
