Shenandoah, aka Shannon, dark brindle, 58lbs, 81 races, DOB 6/24/19, tested cat safe. The first photo Sandi saw of Shannon was the Wheeling adoption kennel manager, Megan, holding her like a baby. As the van pulled away from the kennel, Shannon was at the side window whining because she could see Megan waving goodbye to her. She was very quiet and easily startled by loud noises on the drive to Delaware and actually seemed afraid of Merlin, the test kitty. However, it didn’t take long for her to relax and feel at home in a house; she found the toy box almost right away and proceeded to empty it! Shannon’s fosterers say she walks well on-leash and is getting along fine with the two resident greyhounds, but what she loves the more than anything is getting attention from the humans. It only took two hours before her fosterers, who have never fostered for GPAD before, texted Dana to ask if they can foster Shannon with intent to adopt her! That may be a record-holding foster-fail!
