JS Countrykisses aka Kissy, red fawn female, 60lbs, 73 races at Wheeling

DOB 7/23/20

UPDATE 4/23/25: Kissy was adopted as a solo greyhound in September of 2024. At first she was relaxed, playful and social with everyone she met. But when her adopters left her, even for short periods of time, she exhibited classic signs of separation anxiety that she hadn’t shown in her foster home where there were two other greyhounds. Eventually, she stopped running zoomies, stopped playing with toys and even refused meals on occasion. Her adopters realized that, as much as they loved her, she just wasn’t happy as an only dog, and they made the difficult decision to return her so GPAD can find a home for her with at least one other dog.

What we heard about Kissy before we met her: Kissy is outgoing, loves everyone, loves treats, gets along with all of the other girls in the yard.

What her foster mom has to say based on 24 hours: Kissy is super curious about everything – she has already attempted to walk under the piano bench and climb the windowsills to get a better view outside. She passed “stairs camp” with flying colors (steep, narrow stairs)! She thinks leash walking is an aerobic exercise! The two resident male greyhounds think she’s great and the middle school boy in the house calls her snuggly & adorable.
