Del (no racing name) is a fawn female, 51lbs., DOB 11/17/21, no races, NOT cat safe. Del is being fostered with a male & a female greyhound.

From Flights 4 Greys Behavioral Assessment: Sweet, friendly, outgoing, confident, affectionate, likes treats, great on lead, calm and respectfully interacts with medium-size dogs. Del was adopted but surrendered after three months due to chasing the neighbors free range chickens and outdoor cat. Del slept on her adopter’s bed or the couch and is confident using stairs. She is not destructive indoors and interacted well with the children in her adoptive family, would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

From her fosterers: As expected for a 2-year old greyhound, Del follows her fosterers from room to room. She’s content to stand next to her foster dad to be petted for as long as he’s willing to continue. She sleeps quietly on a dog bed in her fosterers’ bedroom. She was fine with the medium size dog she encountered during a walk but is very alert when she sees tiny dogs. Del hasn’t discovered the toy box yet but she will try to slip out through the front door when someone opens it to leave. In addition to ears that can stick straight up, fold on top of one another on her head or be “one facing forward & one facing backward,” she has an equally versatile tail that can wag straight up & down, from side to side, or around in a circle like a helicopter!
