Update from Clown’s foster dad, 7/7/23: Clown is an amazing dog; he really is. I went away for two days and the people who watched him had two other greyhounds. It’s very evident to me that he needs to be in a home with another dog. When I leave the house, he will whine, whimper, howl & pace until I come back home, whether he’s crated or not. When he was living with two other greyhounds, he was calm, comfortable and just hanging out with the other dogs, even when the people went out.

Update from Clown’s foster dad, 6/21/23: Clown is a loving, playful, inquisitive boy that likes to play with balls & squeaky toys. He’s completely house trained and does stairs pretty well. He’s still doing some occasional counter-surfing but is easily corrected with verbal commands. He is well-socialized and has learned very good leash manners. He can go anywhere and act like a gentleman; we walked among hundreds of people at Comic-Con and he got lots of attention and pets. He ignores other small dogs and is fine with cats. He really is a loving boy that enjoys being touched and petted and loves to go on walks and car rides. He’s among the best-tempered and loving greyhounds I’ve fostered and if I was in a position to commit to owning a dog, I’d adopt him myself!

Blame the Clown, aka Clown or Clowny. DOB 9/30/19, 73lbs, 63 races – mostly at Southland, cat safe. Clown is a playful almost 4-year-old boy with a super curly, super waggy tail. He got along well with the other boys in the turnout pen and he liked getting attention from the trainer & kennel hands but didn’t demand it. Clown is being fostered in Kent County as an only dog. He has already discovered the toys in his foster home and was a perfect gentleman when he met a tiny dog on this morning’s walk.
