Araki (pronounced Erica) is a petite (55lbs.), gentle, sweet two year old (DOB 11/17/18) black girl with just a little white on her chest. She ran 34 races, mostly at Orange Park in FL. She was a great car rider on the drive from West Virginia, content to get some occasional attention from the pilot and co-pilot in the front seats and then lie back down. In her foster home, Araki is getting along well with her three “temporary greyhound sisters.” Despite her petite stature, she is having no problem putting those front paws on the kitchen counter in search of some tasty treats! Her foster dad says she is starting to relax and appreciate dog beds and loves standing at the windows looking outside, even when that means jumping on the couch in order to see out the bay window! Araki got along just fine with the test cat – a couple of sniffs and then she walked away to explore other things in the room.

UPDATE: Araki, now Erica, found her happily ever after with two humans who will treat her like the petite princess she is. She has already met & made friends with the other little girl greyhound that lives just one street away and they’ve started discussing who has the comfiest beds and possible sleepover dates!
