Kurfew aka Lulu, black female, 64lbs, no official races

DOB 2/24/24

From her foster dad: Lulu is an incredibly sweet, polite, and gentle girl who is eagerly learning what life off the track is all about. She is wonderfully well-mannered around the house—keeping her paws strictly off the counters, respecting personal space, and walking nicely on a leash. She does great with feline friends, paying little mind to cats beyond the occasional curious sniff. She is also gentle and accepting of children under 12, though she can be uncertain around sudden noises or fast-moving, high-energy play.

While naturally shy, her adorable personality is starting to shine through! She has begun showing a playful side, happily flipping stuffies around and proudly collecting small treasures (like cups) to take to her bed. She loves being part of the pack. She finds comfort in her crate when she needs a break, though she occasionally lets out a soft whine to ask to hang out with everyone. She might give a few barks to further articulate this.

Because life in a home is a whole new world after the track, building her confidence will be a key part of her adjustment. Stairs continue to be a challenge for her but she is easily guided and corrected as she processes new sounds and experiences.  She enjoys the company of the resident greyhound and would appreciate living with another well-mannered dog as she builds her confidence.
