Leash Manners:
Ian is a big strong boy, he can follow his nose and pull a bit but walked really well after assessment.
Nature / Personality:
Very bouncy, happy-go-lucky boy, generally very calm and relaxed, not bothered by much at all. Very affectionate, but may pull back if you reach in for his head/neck too quickly. He seemed to love people as much or more so than the other dogs. Starts to whimper when left alone but otherwise is quite calm. He will attempt to lick you when he is uncomfortable. He is a gentle giant and is still carrying a thick, fluffy winter coat.
Off Lead Play:
Ian is a playful boy and loved to run after and play with all the toys and interact with me. He wasn’t interested in playing with the dogs or interacting with them at all really. Ian was content to wander around the pen with the other dogs but also still came back to check in with me at times. Ian would trot playfully up and down the pen with the other dogs but he didn’t fixate or show any signs of resource guarding. He was happy to swap and change between all the dogs and toys, he is also happy to change from chasing to being chased. He will keep a good distance away from toys if other dogs are running after them.
